Gratus Journals (now Gratus Designs) was created when the owner, Tiffany, was very sick, and created a journal to keep track of her symptoms. After keeping a "Health Journal" for several months, she took that information to her doctor. She was later diagnosed with Celiac Disease. Her health journal has proven useful, and was the beginning of a new passion; creating journals for people who have specific needs!

She chose the name "Gratus" because she wanted something that showed gratitude for her diagnosis (which ended her long struggle with various health problems). When she looked up "Gratitude" in the dictionary, she noticed the latin root, gratis, was printed in the phonetic grat(us) and a unique name was born!

Gratus Designs is a very small company :) We do everything "in house" and to your requirements or preferences. Because of the custom nature of the work, we work on a one-on-one basis with clients and customers. If you would like something that you don't see here, just ask, and we will work with you.

We have expanded beyond journals to incorporate more unique, custom, handmade crafts like custom greeting cards and scrapbooking! Do you love special, embelished greeting cards?
